About James Burke
With over 19 years in the agricultural industry, specialising in dry stock and horticulture; James is a key member of the Colliers Bay of Plenty Rural team.
James started his working career being involved in the horticultural industry. Where he developed extensive knowledge and experience in the pre- and post-harvest aspects of the kiwifruit industry, including being involved in the development of a kiwifruit orchard in Australia. James then furthered his career and knowledge while working on a family drystock farm and completing a Bachelor of Applied Science, Majoring in Agribusiness Management through Massey University.
After completing his degree, James joined BNZ as a rural banker before returning back to drystock farming. Since then, he has managed some large farms in the Bay of Plenty before starting his own beef fattening operation by leasing properties in the Te Puke region. James maintains involvement in a family farm in Katikati as well as an orchard in Te Puke. Through James's practical and financial knowledge and skillset as well as his great networks in the agricultural industry, James strives to provide his clients with a superior service combined with his own drive and commitment.
